The status of Chinese exported automobile in December, 2022

According to the data of the Customs Administration compiled by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, in December 2022, the export volume of automobile of China was slightly lower than that of last month, which decreased from the previous month, and was still growing rapidly.

In December 2022, vehicle exports decreased by 8.8% month-on-month and increased by 77.4% year-on-year. Total vehicle exports decreased by 23.3% month-on-month and increased by 90.7% year-on-year.

In 2022, the volume of total automobile exports increased by 56.9% year on year. Total vehicle exports increased 74.8% year on year.

In December 2022, among the main automobile export models, pure electric vehicles (excluding buses with 10 seats or more), buses, cars and trucks ranked the top four in export volume. Compared with the previous month, the export volume of cars increased, while the other three categories all declined. Compared with the same period last year, the export volume of the above four categories is growing rapidly. The export volume of the above four categories accounted for 92.8% of total vehicle exports.

In 2022, among the main automobile export models, compared with the same period last year, four major export varieties of pure electric vehicles, buses, cars and trucks still maintained rapid growth, among which pure electric vehicles grew more significantly. From January to December, the exports of the above four categories accounted for 92.5% of total vehicle exports.
