Farewell to the Beloved Vessel

(On the Night Before Her Last Sailing)

Tomorrow, the ship I’ve been aboard will set sail for the scrapyard. Over the past 12 years, I’ve boarded this ship three times and it holds countless memories, leaving me with an indescribable sense of melancholy.

The entire crew was deeply shocked and saddened upon hearing the news. Especially the captain, who has been with this ship continuously for the past 10 years, wore a deeply pained and disheartened expression.

But what's decided cannot be overturned.

To everyone who continued maintenance until the very end, even after it was destined for scrap,

And to this ship, which carried us and our cargo safely until today without any major accidents,

With heartfelt gratitude...

(売船前夜)

明日、自分の乗っている船がスクラップヤード(廃船場)へと向かう事となりました。

過去12年で3度乗船し数多くの思い出がある船なので、なんともやるせない気持ちです。 

乗組員一同、知らせを聞いた時は大いに驚きと悲しみにくれました。特に船長は過去10年間この船に継続して乗船しており、深い悲しみと落胆の表情を浮かべておりました。 

ですが、もう決まった事は覆りません。 

スクラップが決まってからも、最後までメンテを続けてくれたみんなへ

今日まで大きな事故なく貨物と、自分たちを運び続けてくれた本船へ。

感謝の気持ちを込めて…
